Clinical Racing, the Southern California-based off-road racing outfit known for its hand-built Class 2000 truck, today announced that it is officially joining Team Baja Designs, aligning with one of the most respected brands in off-road racing lighting and performance.
This partnership will allow Clinical Racing to leverage the race-proven lighting and support infrastructure of Baja Designs while representing the Team BD banner across major desert, short-course, and endurance events.

“Joining Team Baja Designs marks a major step forward for our program,” said Steven Olsewski of Clinical Racing. “We’ve built our truck from the ground up, and aligning with a brand that has such deep heritage in desert racing gives us an edge in performance, visibility, and professionalism.”
Clinical Racing’s 2005 GMC Canyon-based Class 2000 truck has stood out in the field for its non-Ford, non-Toyota identity and blue-chip build quality. Meanwhile, Baja Designs brings decades of off-road lighting and racing experience, boasting championship wins in every major 2- and 4-wheel class in Baja and beyond.

“Being a part of Team Baja Designs means more than I can put into words,” said Mat Tessier of Clinical Racing. “To help explain it, it’s amazing to be supported by the best in the lighting business. Having the Scientists of Lighting brings comfort when driving through the darkness of the desert.”
Going forward, the team will display Baja Designs branding and lighting system components as part of the top lighting company in the off-road industry. First on the competition calendar is the Mint 400 in March, where Clinical Racing will compete as part of Team BD with heightened exposure and support.
